1. Who we are
PostTrail is operated by PostTrail, Inc. ("PostTrail," "we," "us"). If you have questions about this policy or want to exercise a right listed below, email contact@posttrail.social.
2. What we collect
We collect a limited amount of information to provide and operate the service:
- Account data: information you provide when you create an account, such as your email address.
- Blog content: the content of the blog or site you connect to PostTrail.
- Generated content: the social posts PostTrail produces from your content, along with any edits and schedules you make.
- Platform credentials: authorization credentials for the social accounts you connect, stored securely.
We also collect basic operational information such as log data and usage information to help us keep the service running reliably.
3. How we use it
We use your information to provide and improve the service — including generating posts from your connected content, publishing them on your behalf, keeping your account secure, and sending you service-related communications.
We do not use your content to train machine-learning models.
4. What we don't do
If we ever need to change any of these commitments, we will let you know in advance.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct — ask us to fix information that is inaccurate.
- Delete — ask us to delete your account and associated information.
- Export — receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Object or restrict — object to, or ask us to limit, certain uses of your information.
- Withdraw consent — where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Email contact@posttrail.social. We aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe and, in any case, within the time required by applicable law.
6. Retention & deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to support account recovery and backup processes. When you ask us to delete your data, we remove it from our active systems.
Some information may need to be retained for legal, tax, or accounting purposes for the period required by applicable law.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. You can find an overview of our security practices on the Security page.
8. International transfers
PostTrail may process and store your data in the United States and other regions. Where required by law, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect personal data transferred internationally.
9. Changes & contact
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in advance through the service or by email. Other updates will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
